HEY PARENTS! DO YOUR KIDS A FAVOUR - INTRODUCE THEM TO THE GAME OF SOFTBALL!
Softball is a game that anyone can play. Boys, Girls, Young Adults, Adults and Seniors. Once you learn the skills of the game, you can play softball for the rest of your life. Softball for fun, friendship, health . . . for life! BLASTBALL introduces softball with easily managed skill development.
There’s no better way for the kids to get a start into the program than with BLASTBALL!
OVERVIEW
- BLASTBALL PROVIDES AN IDEAL ENTRY LEVEL OF PLAY FOR THE YOUNGSTER WHO WILL GO ON TO OTHER ADVANCED LEVELS OF THE GAME. IT IS ALSO A GREAT FITNESS AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITY.
- BLASTBALL IS MEANT TO PUT FUN INTO THE GAME OF SOFTBALL. IT’S DESIGNED TO GENERATE FAST-PACED ACTION, PROVIDE RECREATION AND EXERCISE, CREATE ENTHUSIASM AND, THROUGH SIMPLICITY, ALLOW RETENTION OF YOUTH PARTICIPANTS IN THE GAME.
- BLASTBALL TEACHES ALL FIVE BASIC FUNDAMENTALS OF SOFTBALL… HITTING, THROWING, CATCHING, RUNNING AND FIELDING.

Held each of the four Saturdays leading up to and including our league Opening Day, these free clinics are a great tune-up for players of all ages. Our Spring Training Clinics are open to all kids aged 6-12, no registration required.
In keeping with our mission to teach the game and foster a fun and friendly environment for everyone, our veteran coaches and U16/17 volunteers will teach kids the basics of softball including:
Learning the positions on the diamond
Throwing and catching
Hitting
Fielding
Pitching
Whether to get ready for the season or just to get the kids off the couch on a Saturday afternoon, come check out or Spring Training Clinics!
Please note, as a not-for-profit community organization, SSA can provide hours for high school-aged volunteers who would like to come out and help at this or any of our events throughout the season. Please e-mail us for more information.

U16 Girls Selects
Softball is fun... Competitive Softball is REALLY fun! Our U16 Girls Selects program takes the best of the best from our house league teams and gives them a chance to show off their skills on a larger stage.

Sunday August 12th in Etobicoke
It was hot. There's not much else to say about our Sunday in Etobicoke except to congratulate the girls for fighting through it and doing Scarborough proud! A big Dragon Roar for Laura, Kenya, Carly & Aislin who were presented with MVP medals for their sportsmanship!
Saturday July 28 in St. Catharines
A big congratulations to our U16 Girls Select team for doing the Dragons proud at the St. Catharines tournament on Saturday July 28! Here's the team in their custom jerseys, courtesy of our good friends at Sports International. Also introducing our new league mascot, Davy Dragon!
